Kamis (26/06) lalu, Center for Indigenous and Cultural Psychology (CICP) UGM menyelenggarakan “Angkringan” ke-23 bertajuk “Exploration of Ethnic Identity and the Meaning of Moke”. Angkringan kali ini merupakan serial dari rangkaian pre-Summer Course 2025. CICP menghadirkan narasumber yang merupakan peneliti mengenai ‘Moke’, yaitu Dr. Indra Yohanes Kiling dan Gracia Ida, dimoderatori oleh Asisten CICP Della Rovita Ndoen.

Beyond Boundaries: Reflection and Forward Looking Into Psychology and Culture

Course Overview
This summer course aims to initiate discussions on Psychology and Culture, which continue to evolve. It will encourage a deeper understanding of psychology and culture by acknowledging diverse perspectives and the work of experts in related fields. This summer course holds special significance as it coincides with the 15th anniversary of the Center for Indigenous and Cultural Psychology (CICP), Faculty of Psychology UGM. Thus, we will start our journey with reflection of the contribution of CICP in the evolving discourse of psychology and culture. Following that, the summer course will re-examine culture as a dynamic process within the context of psychology while generating new perspectives and insights on current research methods, quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods, as a response to the rapidly changing world. Additionally, it seeks to explore current research themes in psychology and culture. Finally, the summer course will invite participants to envision the future direction and potential developments in this field, encouraging collaborative discussion and critical thinking.

Yogyakarta, 9 Mei 2025 – Lusiana Yashinta Ellysa Putri, M.Sc., Research Associate dari Center for Indigenous and Cultural Psychology (CICP) Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Gadjah Mada, mempresentasikan penelitiannya secara daring dalam simposium internasional Influencers and Gender Politics in South East Asia yang diselenggarakan oleh The Influencer Ethnography Research Lab (IERLab).
Yogyakarta, 28 Mei 2025 — Center for Indigenous and Cultural Psychology (CICP) UGM kembali menggelar seri diskusi “Angkringan”, kali ini memasuki edisi ke-22 dengan tajuk “Rasa dalam Tradisi Jawa: Penghayatan, Psikologi, dan Jiwa.” Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari rangkaian pre-Summer Course 2025 yang diselenggarakan secara hybrid di ruang A-203 dan via Zoom. Hadir sebagai tamu utama, Ryan Sugiarto, mahasiswa program doktor Ilmu Psikologi UGM, dan Nurdiyanto, research associate CICP selaku among tamu.
