Welcome to the Center for Indigenous and Cultural Psychology

CICP is a research unit in the Faculty of Psychology Universitas Gadjah Mada that focuses on studying psychology in indigenous and cultural domains. We map our research topics in the form of research clusters. In this time, we open four research clusters such as National identity (one of our research is a research collaboration with Konsorsium Psikokultural Indonesia), Ethnic Identity, Youth and Mobility, and Spirituality. If you want to know more about our research clusters, you can access the information here. Since our establishment in 2010 up until today, we are prioritizing and professionally trying to take part in applying tri dharma perguruan tinggi. We connect further with you through this official website.

CICP has a future orientation to become a dedicated and foremost indigenous and cultural psychology research center. We can achieve this through active collaboration between both internal and external parties. Internally, we build collaboration with all grade students, ranging from undergraduate to postgraduate who have high interests in indigenous and cultural psychology research. We accommodate them to learn specifically through School of Researcher program. This program consists of matriculation, training, and mentoring activities. We also continously encourage our members to participate in a research program and its dissemination both in local and international forums. Meanwhile, externally we are eshtablishing partnership with stakeholder that consist of government and academic institutions. The purpose of this partnership is to develop public policies based on our research.

We always strive to do research and serve its results to all of you both effectively and efficiently. As technology develops, we try to develop publication strategies on various medias. We keep an open mind for any criticism or advice that may develop our research center.

Warm Regards,

Dr. Wenty Marina Minza, M.A.
